Specialty Welding

Specialized welding services for the power industry was the foundation from which our company was built. Since then, we have successfully completed thousands of bus duct specialty welding and installation projects, ranging in size from 34.5kV to 600kV, for power companies, co-ops, independent power producers and municipals throughout North America and beyond.

All EBI welding technicians are 6G certified in GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW. We follow strict ANSI/AWS D1.2 and D1.1 standards and are highly experienced in all types of welding and wiring procedures, but we don’t stop there.

EBI has a rigorous in-house Bus Duct Technician training program, which includes teaching our welders proper aluminum TIG welding and inspection techniques. This, coupled with our in-house Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) who provide invaluable support, training, and guidance to ensure exceptional weld quality, workmanship, and conformance to specifications, sets EBI apart. Our highly skilled team and their devotion to delivering quality craftsmanship during each and every project are one of the key reasons we have been industry leaders since 1974.

As the only bus and wire service contractor to be ISO Quality certified, EBI’s quality program is second to none. In fact, since our inception in 1974, we have never had a warranty claim. Our technical expertise allows us to develop solutions to meet even the most complex project needs.
