EBI Named Contractor of Choice for Mission-Critical Welding & Medium-Voltage Electrical Construction Services by TeraWulf Inc.
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (February 3, 2026) — Electrical Builders Industries, (EBI™), the nation’s leading specialty electrical and welding contractor, today announced it has been named Contractor of Choice for mission-critical welding and medium-voltage electrical construction services by TeraWulf Inc., a leading owner and operator of vertically integrated digital infrastructure.
TeraWulf develops and operates next generation data centers optimized for high performance computing (HPC) workloads. EBI’s designation follows the successful completion of the first phase of plant-conversion construction at TeraWulf’s Lake Mariner data center in Upstate New York, located on the site of a former coal-fired power plant.
Modern data centers require substantial, continuous power to support demanding compute loads, liquid cooling systems, and critical backup infrastructure, making electrical reliability essential. By revitalizing and upgrading the site’s legacy electrical systems, EBI enabled consistent, uninterrupted power delivery to support Lake Mariner’s new high-load operations.
“Being named contractor of choice by TeraWulf marks a significant milestone as EBI expands into the rapidly growing digital infrastructure and HPC markets,” said Jessica Netter, CEO of EBI. “While this sector is evolving at an unprecedented pace, our approach is grounded in more than 52 years of experience maintaining and extending the life of mission-critical electrical assets within power generation facilities. That foundation uniquely positions us to deliver the reliability, safety, and performance required to meet the intense demands of this unique market. We’re proud to partner with TeraWulf to bring the Lake Mariner data campus to life and deliver a facility built for long-term performance and operational excellence.”
Upon full buildout, the Lake Mariner campus is expected to deliver up to 750 megawatts (MW) of data center capacity, making it one of the largest HPC campuses in the United States.
EBI was selected based on their deep expertise in electrical power generation systems, including turnkey design, engineering, and installation of critical electrical bus duct systems and long-term asset life extension maintenance solutions—representative of their strong reputation for quality, exceptional execution abilities, and unwavering commitment to safety.
This ongoing partnership with TeraWulf further reinforces EBI’s position as a trusted provider of mission-critical electrical and welding solutions supporting power generation, data centers, digital infrastructure, and industrial markets nationwide.
