Last week EBI participated in the annual American Nuclear Society Utility Working Conference. Thanks to everyone that took the time to stop by our booth. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to re-connect with nuclear plant personnel as well as participate in the educational and industry topics.
With the relatively recent revelation that ‘green initiatives’ alone are not a feasible alternative to fossil fuels; it was exciting to hear the extensive amount of effort being made to change decades of misrepresentation and to openly and aggressively embrace nuclear as the cleanest and most reliable green generation source that exists. Not only will there be a large focus on re-licensing and life extension efforts of existing nuclear plants, but there will also be a huge push for providing additional funds to schools to promote pro-nuclear education initiatives in an effort to change negative public opinions toward nuclear power and educate the general public that well over 50% of carbon-free energy comes from nuclear. These efforts are absolutely essential and an important part of the equation in order to reach the nation’s net zero climate goals. Thank you ANS (American Nuclear Society), NEI (Nuclear Energy Institute), WANO (World Association of Nuclear Operators) and others for the tireless efforts being made to raise awareness and promote the many positive impacts nuclear power generation provides.
For nearly 50 years, EBI has demonstrated why we are the contractor of choice for critical asset life extension solutions. If your plant would like to implement a proactive asset life extension plan for your system critical electrical components, need critical bus duct welding expertise, have an upcoming transformer change-outs planned, or need fabrication of hard to find or obsolete metal parts and components, contact us at 877-297-0616 or [email protected].
