Throughout our 43 years serving the power generation industry, EBI has supported projects at over 70% of the U.S. nuclear fleet. Each project presents its own unique challenges, but three things that stay consistent for all projects are 1. Safety, 2. Quality and 3. Schedule.  Our recent project at Southern Nuclear Company’s Edwin Hatch facility set an outage duration record for Southern Company, just 21 days and 2 hours.  EBI’s scope included isophase bus duct inspection and onsite repair services with the use of our state-of-the-art R3 mobile micro factory. The R3 is an all-in-one, onsite fabrication, service and installation facility equipped to handle everything needed to repair, refurbish, modify or completely replace electrical isophase, segregated and non-segregated bus duct systems and related components. The unit is self-contained, self-powered and armed with everything needed to begin work immediately upon arrival to the job site, including the ability to roll replacement bus duct sections. The onsite proximity of the R3 offers increased efficiency and communication between field installers, machinist technicians, engineers, and plant personnel while allowing issues found ‘on discovery’ to be seamlessly added to the project scope. With the help of the R3, EBI’s team worked diligently, quickly, and above all, safely, in order to help meet this accomplishment!  Way to go TEAM!! To view the full article click here.
